Just a few days ago, OPPO confirmed the upcoming launch of the Find X10 series in India, featuring MediaTek Dimensity 9600 series processors. Now, the company has revealed that these phones will be among the first devices to come pre-installed with ColorOS 17. Based on Android 17, ColorOS 17 introduces “Living Flow Design”—aimed at delivering smooth transitions and animations during swiping or scrolling—alongside other significant improvements. Additionally, reports indicate that the ColorOS 17 public beta program is now open in India for the OnePlus 13 and 15 series.

ColorOS 17 Global Launch Date Announced; Key Features Teased
The OPPO Find X10 series (including the Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max) is set to make its global debut in Spain on October 21, with detailed information regarding ColorOS 17 to be revealed a few days earlier, on October 13. ColorOS social media channels have already begun teasing the improvements and new features included in this update.

These enhancements include “Fluid Design” and “Light Effects,” which work together to create smooth transitions when switching between pages and screens. The UI responds to element taps with distinct light and shadow effects; a notable example is the Quick Settings page, where toggles light up when tapped, and a curtain-like animation appears when swiping between the notification and quick settings panels.

Additionally, AI suggestion capabilities have been improved to provide more accurate widget recommendations, while the “Laminar Engine” ensures consistent battery life, speed, and performance. Collectively, these improvements promise a smoother and more efficient user experience compared to ColorOS 16.

The ColorOS 17 public beta is now available for the OnePlus 13 and 15 series.
OnePlus has confirmed that, starting with Android 17, it will phase out OxygenOS in favor of ColorOS 17; consequently, all devices eligible for the Android 17 upgrade will receive the ColorOS update. A few months ago, OnePlus launched the ColorOS 17 closed beta for the OnePlus 15 and OnePlus 15R in India. Posts within the OnePlus community confirm that users of the OnePlus 15, 15R, 13, 13s, and 13R can now participate in the public beta program.
